A backrest with an adjustable back support, wherein a plurality of adjusting means are provided which are arranged one above the other and provide the support. To avoid a multiplicity of handwheels serving for the adjustment which could constitute an obstruction, a single handle is provided for adjusting all the adjusting means. Said handle is either adjustable and coupled in each case to one adjusting means or is coupled simultaneously to two adjusting means which are adjustable in opposite directions. |
