PURPOSE:To obtain easy-to-read and easy-to-see record by controlling the density of toner image with a signal obtained by detecting the density of a transferred toner image. CONSTITUTION:The density of the toner image transferred onto transfer paper 5 is detected by a reflection type sensor S1, whose output is inputted to a toner density control circuit 16. The bias voltage impressed between a developing device 4 and a photosensitive body 1 is varied with a signal from a rough adjusting decoder circuit 17 to control the amount of attracted toner. A fine adjusting decoder circuit 18 operates an analog switch 19 to vary the voltage impressed to a cathode-ray tube 2, whose luminance is adjusted to control the density of the toner image. Therefore, the toner image density is controlled automatically without the intervention of an operator to obtain easy-to-see and easy-to-read record. |
