The present invention relates to a weighing device for weighing heavy loads, especially road vehicles, consisting of a rigid housing, a dynamometer arrangement equipped with strain gauges, and an evaluation circuit determining the weight of the load to be weighed. So that a weighing device of this type can be used as an easily transportable movable device, whilst at the same time achieving a high weighing accuracy, it is proposed, within the scope of the present invention, that the dynamometer arrangement be arranged between the rigid housing (3) and a fixed bearing surface (17) of flat design, whilst the top side of the rigid housing (3) serves as a measuring platform. <IMAGE>
