System for producing chipboards and the like from mats of pressing wood material, having a dispersion station, multi-daylight platen press, charging frame, discharging frame and device for the circulating conveying of screen supports. The screen supports can be introduced with the mats of pressing material into the platen press. The finished pressed chipboards or the like can be removed from the screen supports with the aid of a separating device downstream of the discharging frame in the working direction of the plant. The device for the circulating conveying of the screen supports has transport chains to which the screen supports can be coupled. Downstream of the separating device, a screen support stacking device, with which a plurality of screen supports can be stacked to form a screen support assembly, is provided. A screen support destacking device is disposed between the return device and the screen support insertion device. The screen supports can be individually inserted into the screen support insertion device from the screen support destacking device. <IMAGE>
