<p>PURPOSE:To provide an agent for modifying the surface of inorganic material, containing an N-acyl lysine of a specific formula, exhibiting excellent surface- modification effect even at a small amount, resistant to the desorption from the adsorbed surface in various organic solvents, and applicable to a wide variety of fillers. CONSTITUTION:The objective surface-modification agent contains an N-acyl lysine of formula I (RCO is 8-22C aliphatic acyl) and/or formula II and/or formula III (R'CO and R''CO are 1-22C aliphatic acyl wherein the sum of carbon numbers of both groups is 9-44) (e.g. N<alpha>-hexanoyl lysine, N<epsilon>-lauroyl lysine, etc.). EFFECT:It can be applied to extremely wide variety of inorganic fillers such as calcium carbonate, titanium dioxide, kaolin, metallic fiber, glass fiber, etc.</p> |
