PURPOSE:To avoid that a constant speed running is erroneously canceled during deceleration by operation of a setting switch, by providing a second predetermined vehicle speed for limiting deceleration by the operation of the setting switch in addition to a predetermined vehicle speed for canceling or inhibiting the constant speed vehicle running. CONSTITUTION:A pulse proportional to a vehicle speed from a vehicle speed detection switch SW1 is fed to a CPU, and a vehicle speed is stored by depressing a setting switch SW4 on an instrumental panel, simultaneously starting a constant speed running control. When the vehicle speed reaches a second predetermined vehicle speed for limiting deceleration during deceleration by operation of the setting switch, the CPU acts to automatically set a constant speed running by the second predetermined vehicle speed where deceleration is stopped. Thusly, since the deceleration of a vehicle does not reach the predetermined vehicle speed for canceling or inhibiting the constant speed running, it is possible to avoid that the constant speed running is erroneously canceled during deceleration by the operation of the setting switch. |
