PURPOSE:To enable stable guide and high speed shearing by preventing buckling of material to be sheared by means of an intermediate guide unit provided between both guides on the inlet and outlet in such a way as guiding the material to be sheared at the time of waiting of a rotary edge, and retreating from the rotating locus at the time of shearing. CONSTITUTION:An intermediate guide unit 3 is composed of a cam 4 fixed to the end face of a drive shaft 26, an opening/closing guide 5 having a guide groove 7 and a roller 8, a body 2 and a spring box 6 supported on both ends of the guide 5. The roller 8 is at the lowest portion of the face 10 of the cam 4 at the time of standby condition of upper and lower edges 27, 28 and the groove 7 of the opening/closing guide 5 surrounds and guides a material to be sheared 24a together with a fixed guide 11 on the body 2 side. At the time of shearing, the roller 8 is engaged with the top portion of the face 10 of the cam 4 and the opening/closing guide 5 is retreated from the rotating locus of the upper and lower edges 27, 28. As the buckling of the material to be sheared can be prevented and the distance between the guides 22, 23 can be expanded, the rotating radius of a rotary edge is enlarged to increase the speed of the edge in the horizontal direction at the time of shearing, and a high speed running material can be sheared smoothly. |
