COMMUTATOR FOR A MOTOR

The commutator comprises commutator segments embedded in an insulating body, each segment having a contact surface to be contacted with a brush and formed with concave impressions to provide a rough surface and oil traps. The impression are formed by projecting particles. Moulded body may be thermoplastic resin e.g. polybutyral terephthalate mixed with glass fibres.
