<p>NEW MATERIAL:Tetrahydro-3-methyl-5 -isopropyl-4H-1, 3, 5-oxadiazine-4-one expressed by the formula. USE:Functional fluids useful for various fields such as organic electrolytes, media for high-speed ink jet, solubilizing agents, reaction media, etc. PREPARATION:1-Methyl-3-isopropylurea is reacted with formaldehyde to give dimethylolated 1-methyl-3-isopropylurea, which is then dehydrated and cyclized to afford the aimed compound of the formula in high purity and yield with suppressed side reaction by easy operation. The compound of the formula is a water-soluble liquid compound, having a high dielectric constant, and capable of exhibiting remanence within particularly a specific voltage range.</p> |
