PURPOSE:To provide a water-based ink for ink-jet recording, water-based ball- point pen, fountain pen, etc., having excellent reproducibility of the red color and ejection reliability, and giving stabilized particles, easily, by using a compound having a specific structural formula as a colorant. CONSTITUTION:The objective water-based ink is produced by compounding a compound having the structural formula I (R1 ir H, -SO3M1, alkyl or hydroxy; R2 is lakyl, -COOM1 or -SO3M; R3 is H, alkyl, -SO3M1, hydroxy, COOM1 or halogen; m and n are 0, 1, 2, or 3; M1 is alkali metal, amine cation or ammonium ion; the sum of the numbers of -SO3M and -COOM1 in R1-R3 is >=2) in combination with the compound of formula II (R4 and R5 are group of formula III or formula IV; X is 0; M2 is H, Li, Na, K, amine or ammonium; p is 0, 1 or 2; the sum of p is >=1; R6 is H, 1-5C alkyl, amino, OH or halogen). |
