PURPOSE:To permit the cutting edge of a cutter to be ground effectively and with high cutting quality by constituting a cutter guiding surface in forward and downward inclined form and grinding the cutting edge of the cutter by bringing the cutting edge locally in contact with the front edge of a disc-shaped grindstone. CONSTITUTION:A body case 6 has a cutter guiding surface 8 inclined towards the upper surface of a grindstone 7 from the side, and an auxiliary guiding member 10 is arranged over the cutter guiding surface 8. Said cutter guiding surface 8 is inclined forwardly downward. When a cutter 9 is guided towards the grindstone 7 which revolves horizontally along the cutter guiding surface 8, the top edge of the cutter 9 locally contacts with the front edge of the grindstone 7, since the cutter guiding surface 8 is set forwardly downward. Therefore, all the cutter edge is ground continuously and efficiently when the cutter 9 is pulled toward you. |
