INTERFERONLIKE POLYPEPTIDE, CORRESPONDING GENE, CORRESPONDING PLASMID RECOMBINANT, TRANSFORMED CELL AND PRODUCTION THEREOF

PURPOSE:A novel human-alpha-interferonlike polypeptide, expressed by a specific sequence formula of amino acids, and having antiviral activity. CONSTITUTION:An interferonlike polypeptide expressed by a sequence formula represented by the formula. A gene containing the structural gene of the interferonlike polypeptide expressed by the sequence formula of amino acids represented by the formula is integrated in a plasmid multipliable in a host cell to give a plasmid recombinant multipliable in the cell. The resultant plasmid recombinant is used to transform the host cell, and the resultant transformant is cultivated to produce the aimed interferonlike polypeptide, which is then recovered to afford the aimed interferonlike polypeptide having the physiological activity, e.g. antiviral activity, same and equal to that of the conventional human-alpha-interferon.
