PURPOSE:To make the whole engine compact by providing inlet ports on the opposite side of a pair of cylinders respectively and connecting inlet pipes, which is bent laterally toward the sides of a body, to said inlet ports. CONSTITUTION:Inlet pipes 26a, 26b, 26c, 26d, which are bent laterally toward both right and left sides of a body, are connected to inlet ports 23a, 23b, 24a, 24b, which are provided on the opposite sides of a front cylinder 16 and a rear cylinder 18 respectively, and carburetors 29... are installed on the opening end parts at which these inlet pipes 26a-26d are opened toward the sides of the body. Thereby, the carburetors 29... can be placed on the both sides of an empty space part between the cylinders 16, 18. Accordingly, the carburetors can be placed being brought close to the inside without allowing them to project, making effective use of a space and obtaining a compact suction system. |
