The device for sieving and mixing material, has a sieve drum of polygonal section and a mixed drum for processing of garbage etc. The sieve drum (1) and mixer drum (12) are mounted along a common axis. A removal pipe (11) of the same cross section and diameter as the sieve drum (1) passes through the mixer drum (12) which is of larger diameter and is connected to the mantle (13) of the mixer drum (12). A feed and transport device (18) is provided below the sieve drum (11) for the removal of material which has been sieved out of the garbage mixture.
