The toothpick has a rigid stem extending from the point, and a match head (3) at the opposite end. This end of the stem is of combustible material for use as a matchstick. The stem can be impregnated with combustible material, and it can be in one piece i.e. of wood. Alternatively the point end can be of different material, with two parts joined together, typically of plastics and compressed paper or wood.
