An ant bait comprising: A. At least one active compound of the general formula < IMG > in which R represents a hydrogen or chorine atom; and B. glyceral or honey or a sugar or a mixture thereof. Disclosed are containers containing such an ant bait and a method for combating ants by supplyingto the ants or a habitat thereof or elsewhere such and ant bait composition.
