PURPOSE:To uniform the frequency characteristics of all tracks by superposing intermittently a pilot signal before FM modulation of a signal and changing the frequency characteristic of a reproduced signal course in accordance with the output level of a synchronously detected pilot signal. CONSTITUTION:The fideo signal outputted from an amplifier 1 is superposed to a pilot signal PS by a mixer 2 and the superposed signal is FM-modulated by an FM modulator 5 and magnetically recorded. On the other hand, the output signal from an FM demodulator 12 is inputted to a gate circuit 14, the peak value of a signal PS outputted from the circuit 14 is detected by a peak detector 15 and a DC current changing its voltage in accordance with the peak value is inputted to a gain amplifier 9 through a DC amplifier 18. The frequency characteristic of a reproducing signal course is changed in accordance with the level of the PS signal, so that the frequency characteristics of all the tracks are uniformed. |
