PURPOSE:To attain rapid information retrieval by calculating a position to be retrieved previously as a step of a stepping motor driving a pickup means. CONSTITUTION:If a music No. to be retrieved is indicated, an absolute music playing time corresponding to the music No. is read out by a computer. Consequently, a pickup 4 is moved to a playing start point by a driving circuit 3. After starting the playing, linear velocity is calculated by the computer on the basis of a graph, the playing time is read out form an RAM and the pickup 4 is moved at a high speed by the stepping motor 13 until the read-out playing time coincides with the calculate value. Since the stepping motor 13 driving the pickup 4 is controlled on the basis of the number of steps, information retrieval can be attained at a high speed. |
