PURPOSE:To form efficiently a photoconductive layer having a uniform film thickness on each base by fixing plural cylindrical bases in parallel to respective revolving shafts, rotating the bases, moving a sponge-like coating member contg. a paint at a specified speed and bringing the member into contact with each base. CONSTITUTION:Plural cylindrical bases 1 are fixed in parallel to respective revolving shafts and are maintained in a horizontal state. The bases 1 are rotated at a specified speed and while a sponge-like coating member 4 contg. a paint 3 is brought into contact with the surface of the respective rotating bases 1, the member is moved at a specified speed to coat and form a photoconductive layer on each base, by which the intended electrophotographic sensitive body is obtd. The weight of a paint vessel 2 and the paint 3 is measured with a load cell 6 in the stage of the painting operation and the consumed amt. of the paint is replenished from a replenishing tank 9 via a solenoid valve 10 by the effect of a weight detector 7 and a measuring control device 8 so that a specified amt. of the paint 3 is always held in the vessel 2. |
