<p>Nicotinic esters of aryl propionic acids, such as 2-(4-isobutyl phenyl) propionic acid, 2-(6-methoxy 2-naphthyl) propionic acid and 2-(3-phenoxy phenyl) propionic acid, are made by (a) converting the acid to acid chloride in a suitable solvent; and (b) reacting this with nicotinilic alcohol (2-hydroxy methyl pyridine).</p> |
