PURPOSE:To facilitate the sealing-up of a flat sheet type hybrid collector by a structure wherein a glass casing consists of a formed glass formed in a nearly gutter-shape and a flat glass sheet as a light-transmitting body to cover the top opening of the formed glass. CONSTITUTION:A flat glass sheet 16 is placed onto a flat template 15 and heated as a whole. When the temperature of the flat glass sheet 16 rises by heating and exceeds the softening point of the glass, the overhung ends of the sheet 16 bend by gravity. After that, the sheet 16 is cooled slowly and taken off the template 15 in order to obtain a formed glass 14. A glass casing 20 is manufacture by covering the top opening of the formed glass 14 with a flat glass sheet 8 and joining the glass 14 and the sheet 8 airtightly with low melting glass. An and face member 18 is composed of glass or sealing metal, the thermal expansion coefficient of which is nearly equal to that of glass, and covers the end face of one side of the glass casing 20 and the member 18 and the casing 20 are airtightly joined with each other with low melting glass. |
