PURPOSE:To prevent complication of a clock processing circuit and to reduce evil influence to be exerted on other circuits by arranging photodiodes (picture elements) at fixed intervals in the direction of horizontal line, and at the same time, arranging to shift the interval by 1/2 interval for each horizontal line, and setting a horizontal transfer frequency odd number-times a chrominance subcarrier frequency. CONSTITUTION:When looking at the arrangement of photodiodes (picture elements) 21 in the horizontal direction, they are arranged at fixed intervals in each horizontal row. However, they are formed at positions shifted by 1/2 pitch (m/2) for every 1 horizontal line. Accordingly, transfer registers 22 in the direction of column, i.e., vertical direction, are arranged to meander in the direction of column. Each vertical transfer register 22 is connected to a horizontal transfer register 23. Even when there is an omission in horizontal transfer clock in signals obtained from elements constituted in this way, this synchronizes perfectly with a chrominance carrier wave, and the disturbance becomes static and is made difficult to see as a picture. |
