摘要 PURPOSE:To produce a waveguide which is light-weight and is superior in dimensional precision and thermal resistance by forming a waveguide body with a carbon fiber material and working the surface into a prescribed dimensional precision and forming a resin layer for plating adhesion to plate the body. CONSTITUTION:A carbon cloth which is impregnated with an epoxy resin and is hardened by primary heating at a temperature of 120 deg.C and a pressure of 4kg/ cm<2> for about 3hr and is hardened by secondary heating at a temperature of 150 deg.C for about two hours to complete a waveguide body 6. The surface of this waveguide body 6 is cut by a miller. Next, an epoxy resin layer 8 is formed, and it is immersed in a dimethylformamide liquid at a temperature of 40 deg.C for about 10min and is swelled, and thereafter, it is immersed in a mixed liquid of a chromic acid and a sulfric acid for about 15min and is made hyrophilic, and particles of a palladium chloride PdCl2 are made susceptible. The waveguide body 6 where this resin layer 9 for plating adhesion is subjected to chemical copper plating treatment. This waveguide body 6 plated with copper is subjected to normal silver electroplating.
