PURPOSE:To enhance the brake efficiency by simultaneously using a regenerative brake and a generating brake, thereby returning most of the brake energy to a power source to reduce the loss of the energy. CONSTITUTION:AC power is converted by a converter 1 to a DC at the drive time, it is converted again by a converter 2 into AC power of the prescribed frequency, and supplied to a motor 3. On the other hand, a regenerative inverter 6 is operated at the brake time to perform a regeneration of the power, a switch 7 is then closed to perform a generating brake. In this case, most of the brake energy is absorbed in the regenerative brake, and the energy which is not absorbed at the timing is absorbed by the generating brake. |
