PURPOSE:To suppress volume expansion of positive terminal itself by forming a nonaqueous electrolyte battery with a negative terminal consisting of active substance of lithium and a positive terminal obtained by adding a thermal decomposition product of nonaqueous chlomic acid anhydride to the rechargeable active substance such as titanium. CONSTITUTION:A product of 20wt% obtained by thermal decomposition of chlomic acid anhydride under the argon ambient, acetylene black of 10wt% and fluorine resin powder of 10wt% are added and mixed to the titanium sulfate of 60wt% as the active substance. Thereafter these are pressurizingly molded to form a positive terminal. Then a battery is formed by combining the negative terminal utilizing a lithium plate and the separator impregnated with the nonaqueous electrolyte consisting of propylene carbonate, 1.2 dimethioxyethane and lithium perchlorate. Accordingly, volume expansion of positive terminal itself can be suppressed in accordance with change of crystal structure by discharge and shortage of electrolyte by squeezing of electrolyte of separator can be alleviated. |
