A crane which includes a column-like stanchion with a main jib which is pivotably arranged on it and is connected to a swivel arm (6) by means of a joint (5). By means of a single hydraulic cylinder/piston mechanism (8), the swivel arm can be swivelled by more than 180 DEG in relation to the main jib (3), namely by means of an articulation system (9) which includes two interacting articulation pieces (10, 12). The hydraulic cylinder/piston mechanism (8) is attached to the top side of the main jib (3) in order to permit the swivelling of the swivel arm (6) between two end positions, namely on the one hand from a position in which the swivel arm is located substantially parallel to and close beside the underside of the main jib (3) up to, on the other hand, a position in which the swivel arm projects upwards from the free end of the main jib at a certain angle, for example 50 DEG . <IMAGE> |
