PURPOSE:To improve the utility of a polyurethane battery by decresing the internal electric resistance of the positive electrode by using as the main component of the positive mixture either a compound prepared by adding iodine to polyurethane or a composition prepared by dispersing iodine in polyurethane. CONSTITUTION:Either a compound prepared by adding iodine to polyurethane obtained by polymerizing diisocyanate and polyol through polyaddition or a composition prepared by dispersing iodine in the above polyurethane, is used as the main component of a positive mixture. According to necessity, a carbon material such as carbon black is dispersed in the above polyurethane. In addition, a metal iodide corresponding to the metal used for a negative electrode is used as electrolyte, thereby constituting a polyurethane battery. For example, when zinc is used as the negative metal, zinc iodide is used as electrolyte. |
