PURPOSE:To suppress volume expansion of positive terminal itself of nonaqueous electrolyte primary battery and prevent deterioration of battery performance by adding a thermal decomposition product of chlomic acid anhydride to the positive terminal. CONSTITUTION:A product obtained by thermal decomposition of chlomic acid anhydride under the ambient of argon, carbon powder as the conductive agent and a fluorine resin as the binder are added and mixed to the active substance of positive terminal and these are molded by pressurization. The positive terminal can then be formed. A primary battery can be assembled using this positive terminal, a negative terminal consisting of an active substance of light metal (alloy) such as Li, Na and the nonaqueous electrolyte. Since volume expansion of positive terminal itself can be suppressed by this battery, leak of electrolyte in the separator can be prevented and increase of thickness of battery can also be prevented. |
