<p>PURPOSE:To reduce the risk of combustion and toxicant to aim at enhancing the safety in processing of gas, by releasing low density foams from a low density foam generatig device upon leakage of low temperature liquefied gas, and as well by releasing diluent gas to dilute gas evaporated from the low temperature liquefied gas. CONSTITUTION:In the case of leakage of low temperature liquefied gas 7 due to earthquake, etc., the leaking liquefied gas is evaporated. The evaporated liquefied gas 7 is detected by a leakage detecting device 6 from which a signal is delivered to operate a low density foam device 4 and a diluent gas releasing device 5. Foams 9 released from a low density foam generating device 4 are made into contact with the low temperature liquefied gas while they expand on the floor surface 8 of a dike. At this stage although the amount of evaporated gas is temporarily increased, the evaporated gas is diluted by diluent gas released from the diluent gas releasing device 5, thereby the safety in the processing of gas may be greatly enhanced.</p> |
