PURPOSE:To shorten the connection time of an exchange network by connecting physical link connection between processors only when the data transmission is performed between inter-application sessions. CONSTITUTION:A session set-up request given to a control program 104 from an application program 102 is given to a session control part 204 via an application interface processing part 202. The part 204 checks a counter 214 and executes a physical link connection request to a physical link processing part 203 when the value of the counter 214 is set at ''0'', i.e., the number of sessions between inter- application programs is set at ''0''. Then the part 203 performs the physical link connection processing. When an inter-application program session is set up, ''1'' is added to the value of the counter 214. Then the end of the set-up of a session is informed to the program 102 via the part 202. Then the transmission of data is performed. |
