PURPOSE:To obtain an LSI for peripheral device which has abundant functions with high performance by setting an action mode in an initialization mode and executing and controlling abundant functions including an encoding function, etc. based on the set action mode. CONSTITUTION:The 1st action mode flag is set to a mode setting register 14 when the 1st action mode is set. The key data fed by a key is transferred to an encoding part 12 and converted into a corresponding JIS code. This JIS code is written to a buffer 13. In this case, a writing pointer is set at +1. When the difference obtained between the reading and writing pointers is positive, the written code data is transferred to a transfer register of a UART part 17 via an internal bus 20 and shifted out through a terminal TxD in a set Baud rate. The reading pointer is set at +1 after it is read out of the buffer 13. Thus the code data is delivered serially from the terminal TxD in the 1st action mode. |
