The drinks sachet is made up of multi-layer composite material which has a liquid-proof inner layer of a thermoplastic and an aroma-proof intermediate layer. It consists of two film webs (11, 12) which are connected to one another on their longitudinal sides by longitudinal weld seams (19, 20) and which form the sachet walls, and also of a bottom piece (13). The bottom piece (13) is folded inwards in a V shape in the area of the one narrow side of the film webs and is welded to each film web by means of in each case a U-shaped weld seam. The weld seams (22, 23) connecting the bottom piece (13) to the film webs (11, 12) have a considerably greater width than the longitudinal weld seams (19, 20). The weld seams (22, 23) in each case consist of a transverse weld seam (24, 25), which extends along the one narrow side of the film webs (11, 12), and of weld seam sections (26, 26' and 27, 27') extending parallel to the longitudinal weld seams. These weld seam sections end with outwardly directed bevelled shoulders (29, 29' and 30, 30') in the area of the gusset formed by the inner fold edge (28) of the bottom piece (13) on the inner edges of the longitudinal weld seams. <IMAGE>
