PURPOSE:To perfectly remove adhered dust without extremely lowering dust collecting efficiency, by performing the stoppage of current supply to each electrode group on the same dust-containing gas flowline, and practicing dust removal operation successively or at random. CONSTITUTION:In the continuous operation state of a discharge hammering apparatus, a current supply stopping schedule to each electrode group is set to successively stop current supply. For example, when current supply to a first electrode group consisting of a discharge electrode 22 and a dust collecting electrode 24 is stopped for a time T1, the dust adhered to the first electrode group is perfectly shaken off by vibration imparted from the hammering apparatus belonging to both electrodes succeedingly during this stop period. During this period, a second and third electrode groups are held under a current supply state and, by successively stopping current supply at every current supply stopping period T1, efficient dust removing work is enabled while dust collecting operation is continued. |
