PURPOSE:To eliminate the need for re-training by stopping automatic adjustment when producing a large error in equalizing parameter because of a noise signal or the like to prevent destruction of the equalizing parameter. CONSTITUTION:A specific pattern P is transmitted from a transmission side at each prescribed period and a specific pattern signal Xn'' is inputted to the 1st comparator 3 in place of an output signal Xn' of a discriminator 2 at the reception of the specific pattern signal to adjust the specific parameter of an equalizer 1. When an output signal of the 1st comparator 3 is increased because of a noise signal or the like at data reception other than the reception of the specific pattern, the adjustment of the equalizing pattern of the equalizer 1 is stopped temporarily. The equalizing parameter of the equalizer 1 is adjusted through the comparison of the specific pattern signal Xn'' at the reception of the next specific pattern. |
