PURPOSE:To obtain a decorated plate which has an external appearance similar to natural wood which is not seen as 2-color printing even in a wide grain of wood by gradually varying color tone from dense summer material portion to pale spring material portion at one side of the summer material portion, and color coating to vary relatively abruptly at the other side edge. CONSTITUTION:A spring material portion coloring layer 6 with transparent or translucent spring material color coating material colored with spring material color is formed on the entire irregular surface of a prime decoration plate machined so that the summer material portion becomes raised portion 2 and the spring material portion 3 becomes recess 4. Then, a summer material coloring layer 9 with transparent or translucent summer material color coating paint from the oblique portion 7 to the top 8 of one side of the raised portion 2 is stepwisely coated over a plurality of unit coating layers 9a-9c so that the portion becomes dense toward the top 8. On the other hand, a thick coating portion 9c' is formed at least one layer of the layers 9a-9c, thereby expressing the density strip portion 11 along one side edge of the grain of wood on the surface of the plate. |
