PURPOSE:To reduce the size and weight, to simplify a braille typewriter and to readily confirm a correct and an error of printed braille during printing work by placing a sheet on a pin base in which pins are implanted, dropping a type hammer having a receiving hole at the end toward the end of the pin on the base, thereby printing a braille in a raised shape on a front side of the sheet. CONSTITUTION:When a printing sheet 14 is impregnated to the lower portion of a frame 40 and a plurality of key heads 45 extended from both sides of the frame 40 are simultaneously typed by the end of a finger, a spur gear 52 engaged in mesh with a toothed portion 50 at the end of the key 46 is rotated, and a printing hammer 62 having integrally a rack 66 with the side wall is moved down in a guide cylinder 64. Thus, the sheet 14 is press-fitted into the hole 10 while being interposed between the hole 10 at the end of the hammer and the head of the pin 18 implanted font the base 68, thereby printing a braille in a raised shape toward the surface side of the sheet 14. |
