PURPOSE:To prevent a background skin contamination due to adherence of alcohol in a thermosensitive recording material utilizing coloring reaction between leuco dye and its sensitizer by using specific phenol compound having small solubility for alcohol at ambient termperatures as the sensitizer. CONSTITUTION:Phenol compound represented by the formula I does not almost solve in alcohol at ambient temperature, and since it has capacity for sufficiently coloring normal coloring dye, it is used as a sensitizer to obtain a thermosensitive recording material having excellent alcohol resistance by using the sensitizer. The ratio of the phenol compound and a coloring dye in the thermosensitive coloring layer is approx. 1:1-5(wt). |
