PURPOSE:To improve workability of a casting mold by providing plural pieces of mold cavities in parallel with an upward sprue, communicating and connecting the bottom ends of the cavities with and to lower runners and the top ends thereof with and to upper runners and opening the top end of the uppermost cavity to the atm. CONSTITUTION:Plural pieces of mold cavities 9 and an upward sprue 8 are disposed approximately in parallel and runners 8a are provided below the cavities so as in parallel and to incline upward. The top ends of the cavities 9 are connected via gates 10 to upper runner 8a and the bottom ends to lower runners 8a. The top end of the uppermost end cavity is opened via the gate 10 and a vent hole 11 to the atm. The cavities above the cavities 9 contg. the molten metal are always introduced with the external air through the hole 11 according to such mechanism. Even if the shielding member is burned by heat, the cavities are not collapsed and therefore just one vent hole is required. Workability is thus improved and the mold contributes to economization of energy. |
