PURPOSE:To utilize a display effectively, facilitate key operation, and improve operativity by flashing segments of a format display for one pages corresponding to the cursor position on the one-line display. CONSTITUTION:A KANA (Japanese syllabary) character string inputted on a keyboard 1 is inputted to an input sentence buffer 3 through a CPU2 and displayed on the one-line display part 4. When a conversion key is hit and homonyms are selected, the CPU2 transfers the candidate displayed last from a conversion candidate buffer 8 to an output sentence buffer 5. The CPU2 further displays the format of one page on the format display 9 while each character in the output sentence buffer 5 corresponds to one dot. The dot on the format display corresponding to the cursor position on the one-line display 4 is flashed to obtain the correspondence between the one-line display 4 and format display 9. |
