PURPOSE:To improve the ground contact characteristic of a tire, in the case of the tread pattern of tires for motor cross-country use, by providing good flexibility and deformability to the tread by means by forming dents having a prescribed depth at the bottom of lateral depressions. CONSTITUTION:At the bottom of lateral depressions 8 laid between A1 and B1; B1 and C1; C1 and A2 of a center block 5, between D and E of an intermediate block 6, and between adjacent shoulder blocks, dents 9 are formed whose maximum depth is 5-20% of the height of an adjacent block or lug. This constitution can improve the rubber flow in vulcanization, uniformalize a skid base gage, and allow easy bending and deformation. Thus the ground contact characteristic and the durability can be improved. |
