PURPOSE:To utilize a display, facilitate key operation, and improve operativity by indicating conversion not only with a conversion key, but also with a full stop and a comma. CONSTITUTION:A KANA (Japanese syllabary) character string inputted on a keyboard is stored in an input sentence buffer 3 temporarily through a CPU2 and also displayed on a one-line display part. When the conversion key is pressed, a dictionary memory 2 is looked up, and when corresponding data is found, the CPU2 transfers a KANJI (Chinese character) expression part in a conversion dictionary to a conversion candidate buffer 8. When a homonym is selected and a next KANA character is inputted, the CPU2 transfers the candidate displayed last from the conversion candidate buffer 8 to an output sentence buffer 5. When the full-stop (.) key is pressed, a full stop is inputted to the input buffer 3 and conversion is performed automatically without the operation of the conversion key. |
