PURPOSE:To enhance the shelf stability of a photosensitive material and the resulting image to air oxidation by placing a layer contg. a leuco dye formed by the reaction of anilines each having specified 5- or 6-membered heterocyclic radicals at the p-positions and a cyan coupler. CONSTITUTION:To a silver halide emulsion layer is added a leuco dye formed by the reaction of anilines each having 5- or 6-membered heterocyclic (a group of pyroidino, piperidino, piperazino and morpholino) radicals represented by formula I at the p-positions and a cyan coupler represented by formula II (where each of R1 and R2 is H, halogen, alkyl or acylamino, R1 and R2 may form a naphthalene ring together with the benzene ring, and R3 is a monovalent org. radical required to immobilize the leuco dye in the emulsion). This photosensitive material is imagewise exposed, and allowed to contact to a chromium oxidizing developer to form a dye and silver, and subjected to bleach-fixing to obtain a dye image. |
