<p>PURPOSE:To eliminate the need for using a sensor for detecting the amount of steering by providing a built-in mechanical feedback mechanism in a stepping cylinder itself. CONSTITUTION:A power steering device consists of a stepping motor 22, which is rotated by an angle proportionate to the number of pulses of an inputted pulse signal, a spool 25 which is shifted normally and adversely by means of a screw shaft 24 geared to a motor output shaft 23, and a piston rod 26 which is extended and contracted according to the shift of the spool 25. The base part 26a of a piston rod 26 constitutes a casing for the spool 25, and these spool 25 and rod base part 26a constitute a hydraulic control valve 27, whereby the displacement of the rod is fed back mechanically. Accordingly, a rotary case can be rotated by a certain angle, by inputting pulse signals, the number of which is proportionate to the operating angle of a power steering handle.</p> |
