PURPOSE:To enlarge the red-hot area of a red-heating section by a method wherein the flames of a burner are formed so as to be long in the horizontal direction of the burner to prevent corrosion due to the heating of the burner and flow the exhaust gas of combustion smoothly. CONSTITUTION:The bar-type pipe burner 3 is provided with flame ports 3a at 180 deg. symmetrical positions. A radiation cover 2 is provided with a recess 2a in order to keep a distance between the pipe burner 3 and the red-hot section 1 and is attached to a position contacting with the upper side of the pipe burner 3. An extended section 2b, connected to the recess 2a, is provided with exhaust ports 4. The red-hot section (wire net) 1 is suspended between the lower end face of a bent section 2c, formed at the terminal section of the extended section 2b, and the lower end face of said recess 2a. The exhaust gas of combustion releases from the exhaust ports 4 of the radiation cover 2 and, in this case, the flames are attracted toward the exhaust ports 4 under being extended into the horizontal direction of the pipe burner, therefore, the overheating and corrosion of the bar-type pipe burner 3 may be prevented, the flame strikes the red-hot section 1 widely and the red-hot area may be enlarged. |
