PURPOSE:To obviate a driving miss due to what a driver is oblivious of his having set a controller to a fixed mode, by setting the controller to an automatic mode automatically in time of gear shifting in a transmission. CONSTITUTION:When a transmission is shifted from forward to backward, a first exclusive OR circuit 33 outputs an H level signal, and when the transmission is shifted from the forward gear to parking, a second exclusive OR circuit 36 outputs the H level signal. A fixed mode release device 41 receives an output signal out of a transmission position detecting device 38, then an AUTO signal is outputted to a controller 25 from the fixed mode release device 41 and thereby the controller 25 is shifted from a fixed mode to an automatic control mode. |
