PURPOSE:To eliminate necessity of providing an extra space for a device in a limited driver's seat space, by detecting and alarming that a driver is driving a vehicle asleep by using an on-vehicle audio equipment such as a radio mounted in the vehicle. CONSTITUTION:A timer circuit 2 is designed to generate an output signal in two hours for example after receiving an output signal from an ignition switch 1. A control circuit 3 is connected to an on-vehicle audio equipment 5. The control circuit 3 is operated by an output from the timer circuit 2, and generates a control signal for turning on and off a power switch of the audio equipment 5 or for periodically changing a sound voluem. In a fixed time after start of running, upon generation of the control signal, if the power switch of the audio equipment 5 is not turned on and off, or awaking confirming operation where a sound volume switch is operated is not effected within a setting time of an alarm timer circuit 4, for example, within five minutes, the alarm timer circuit 4 feeds an alarm output signal to the control circuit 3 to awake a driver by a program sound from an on-vehicle speaker 51. |
