PURPOSE:To obtain a rotary anode with long rotating life by supporting at least one outer race of a plurality of ball bearings which support the rotating portion with the surface of the axle box in the inside of the fixed portion, slidably in the rotating axis direction and making at least one hand of the sliding surface with lubricating materials containing vacuum-resistant and heat-resistant solid lubricant. CONSTITUTION:The axle box 6a inside the fixed portion 4a is fitted by the supporter 7, which has a sliding surface feasible to specially slide and is different from other portion of the fixed portion in the quality of material, at the position for supporting the outer race of the ball bearings 5 on the side near to a target slidably in the rotating axis direction, and is attached to the fixed portion 4 by the retainer ring 8. The supporter 7 is, for example, manufatured by the use of a porous member sintered with heat-resistant metal powder and impregnated with molybdenum disulfide or tungsten disulfide and so on as heat- resistant and vacuum-resistant solid lubricant or by the use of a meterial obtained by mixing a metal and the solid lubricant and pressing/sintering the mixture. |
