PURPOSE:To execute efficiently copying by providing a means for scanning and exposing separately originals on the first surface and the second surface of an original placing plate and forming a latent image, and setting selectively a use of both and a use of one of the first surface and the second surface. CONSTITUTION:When a lamp 21 and an optical system move and an image of an original is exposed to a set line E by a copying-size setting piece 22, an SW12 is operated by an operating piece 24, and a relay is reset. Accordingly, the lamp 21 is turned off, also a motor rotates in reverse, the lamp 21 and the optical system are treturned, and the SW12 is reset. When the optical system comes to its original stationary position, an SW11 is opened and the motor stops. The transfer paper on an endless belt 46 is fed in between a photosensitive body 11 and a transfer roller 30, and a toner is transferred to the transfer paper from the photosensitive body 11. As for the transfer paper discarged to a paper discharge plate, an image of an original on the first surface B and the second surface C in an original placing plate 20 is copied to both surfaces. In this way, two originals can be placed simultaneously on the original placing plate and can be copied, therefore, copying can be executed efficiently. |
