PURPOSE:To obtain a high-reliability, thin, and small-sized timepiece case by inserting a plate-shaped member into a horizontal groove provided under a glass edge which is inserted into a collar part provided on a body and bringing this plate-shaped member into contact the lower face of the collar part to fix the glass edge to the body. CONSTITUTION:A glass edge 11 is inserted to a body 13 from above, and thereafter, the space in the diametral direction between the glass edge 11 and the body 13 is used to insert a fixing member 15 to a groove part 11a of the glass edge from the side of a rear cover, and the glass edge is fixed in the axial direction by this insertion, and the fixing member 15 is fixed to a body inside face 13a by welding, caulking, or the like. In this case, assembling is made easier if inserting parts 15a-15c of the fixing member are bent to use their elasticity. Since an adhesive or the like is not used at all, this fixing is permanent. Consequently, the reliability of quality is high, and this timepiece case is used without anxiety for a long time. |
