<p>A chemically active composition containing an iron (II) compound, ascorbic and/or citric acid, and alum, with the weight ratio of ferrous ion in the iron (II) compound to ascorbic or citric acid being 1:0.02 to 0.30 (with ascorbic acid) or 1:0.01 to 0.80 (with citric acid). This composition is used as an aqueous solution or in a solid form as a deodorant, food freshness-maintaining agent, plant growth accelerator, and flameproofing agent, and provides a multi-functional material.</p> |
